VoiceOff is karaoke / pitch-training app that I built a working prototype of. Inspired by Guitar Hero and Rock Band, the goal was to do the same thing without the expensive equipment. The user sings the vocals on top of a background instrumental track, and it scores their performance based on pitch and frequency. I built in four songs options: Happy Birthday, Twinkle Twinkle, Mr. Brightside, and Build Me Up Buttercup. The most challenging aspects of this were 1) designing the architecture that would allow me to easily encode any song / adjust to different keys, and 2) learning how to read and transpose sheet music.
